Taking a break

These few weeks, a lot of things happened after one another and I'm really exhausted. This is so not me, rambling about how tired I am. I think my machine is too too too tired as well, it kept making weird sounds and finally stopped while embroidering my customer's towel last week. And I still have dozens of towels to be completed.

I don't really need a vacation, I need a break.

Hajj 1436

Selamat Menunaikan Haji bagi yang mendapat giliran tahun ni.
Semoga ibadat diterima, dan mendapat Haji Mabrur inshaAllah.

My eldest sister left for Hajj last Friday, mixed feelings. Happy that she gets to go at such young age, but also sad that this probably the longest time we won't be seing each other. But Alhamdulillah for the technology, we get to talk every day. :) She reached Mekah on Saturday, after the crane accident, and told us that everything is back to normal.

I'm sure all of us read about the crane incident, Al-Fatihah to the victims. It is everyone's wish & dream to die in front of Kaabah, on Friday and while performing Umrah or Hajj and they got all of it. May the family be strong to face this incident, and may Allah bless them.

Dear Ami

My mother (I called her Ami), Hajjah Ensah binti Haji Mat Tamat, passed away in her sleep on August 3rd, 2015
I would really appreciate it if you can recite for her Al-Fatihah

She's been a great mother, took care of 6 children on her own for the last 23 years since our father passed away. May Allah in His mercy grant my parents rest, may my parents graves be a part of Jannatul Firdaus and abodes of lights. May Allah make them pass successfully in all the stages of the life after death.

I am still adapting, and it's not easy at all.

Jatujak Market Bangkok The Amazing Thailand

Jatujak Market (only on weekends)

Opening hours: 9 am - 8 pm but the sellers normally starts packing by 6pm
How to go there: We normally use the BTS service - final stop Mo Chit Station or via MRT Chatuchak Park Station

What you can buy there: Everything under the sun; food, clothing, home deco items, arts, pets, books, antiques, leather stuff, plants & gardening stuff, ceramics, you name it. And fret not, courier services are available there so you can shop and ship immediately. No hassle!

What to look for there, the coconut ice cream!
It's normally super hot and this dessert is just what we need.  Halal food are easy to find, there are two shops at Soi 24, Section 16 selling Thai dishes. But the one we like most is the Thai Beef Soup Noodle at Saman Islam. That is the best beef noodle i've ever tasted in my whole life.

At Jatujak Market you get to see the young artisans with their brands. Some selling clothings, arts, handmade items. And this brand, Ra Tha is just brilliant. The ladies painted canvas fabric with random abstract designs which are just so cool!

Some tips for you:

  1. Dress appropriately, it's really hot there! Bring a hat, or you can just buy one there (outside the market) at 120 baht. A lot cheaper compared to inside the market compound.
  2. Bring CASH. This is a weekend market, not a mall. ATM machines available there.
  3. You will be walking A LOT so wear comfortable shoes. Like super comfortable shoes.
  4. Since it's really hot, keep yourself hydrated.  A lot of stalls selling drinks and fresh juices. Yummeh!
  5. Grab a map at Exit 1, and mark your favorite and the shop that you plan to go again. But my personal advice would be, if you like something and the price is reasonable, BUY! You may not find the shop again later and regret it and still thinking about it when you get back home.
  6. Don't eat too much before you go there, you'll find a lot of interesting food to try there!
  7. Bargain! Some items are fixed, but most of them are open for bargain. Do it nicely don't marah-marah
  8. Be careful of pick pockets, wear your backpacks on the front side of your body.
  9. Enjoy shopping!

AVANI Sepang

We were at Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort last week during Chinese New Year holiday. That was our third time there (you can see how much we loved this place that we can go there again and again).
Not a fan of their beach, and the water though. But super love their villas!

 Geqek girls!
Why is it always us?
Sebab we live nearby so it's always the same people who go for a vacation or short trip.
Next? Planning for a glamping trip :)

Anyways, today's my husband's birthday.
May Allah shower you with rahmat & blessings Sol

For the Love of Aviation World

The key chains I made for Isma. Both Isma and her son Mika love aviation world so much, she told me that she always takes her son to Changi Airport to see the airplanes and meet the crew there. So, she ordered these tags so she can give to them as souvenirs.

So kind of her!

We do cater for bulk orders, just email us
