Art for Grabs March 2012

a delayed entry on my last bazaar at annexe gallery central market. 

made a new bunting for my booth and tried out using racks and not using racks.

 gained weight after quitting my job, but eye bags still love me

they just won't go away

i knocked few key holders & thread organizers and made some coasters too

other vendors at AFG

we were told to be creative, we can either use tables or just use the floor

 to hang your keys

i used mod podge for this project, cantik kan kain ni?

when crafters gathered

i think i wrote before about a sewing group i joined at facebook right? 

if it's not here at sewfabby then it must be at my 3f's.

btw, last few weeks we gathered, after a month or so of preparations. 

unlike the first gathering, we had a theme color: "biru ke laut dalam" hehe

every team member was required to bring a gift for lucky draw session and we got a LOT..! 

some members didn't just bring one, but a few gifts that we ended up getting at least 3 prizes each. 

50 guests, 150 over prizes.

some brought gifts for everyone. we got pyramid purse, sewing notions, brooch, bread, kuah rojak, cookies. all hand made by the team members. cool kan?

this is my gift. a thread organizer which i think is super useful for those who sew.

i mod podged the fabrics onto the board, nailed it, and screw in the hook for hanging purposes.

these ladies, are SUPERB and i am really thankful that Allah lead me to 

this group

and found them as my friends.

Fuyoh Art Bazaar - Publica

 if you're not familiar of the area like me, here's a map to help you to get there

replacing my current apron, i made myself a new apron to keep all my junks.
added pocket to keep my cash, keep my name cards, hand phone (rather than leaving it on the table)
i super like it..! :)

Tutorial: DIY Business Card for Crafter

i ran out of my name cards after a few bazaars, so i browsed some websites for crafters to get some ideas on great looking name cards, cheap and most importantly something that can represent me & Sewfabby.

so i went through my junks, and figured that i do have some things that might be useful to make this:

you need:

ruled card or anything suitable as your card

mod podge - i used the satin MP

brush

pinking sheers/ scissors

scrap fabrics

craft paper/ normal paper to print your address

print your details, what you want to have on your card

i used craft paper as i love the color.

cut into desired sizes

if you have craft puncher, use it

be free, be yourself

i cut my rules card to the size of 2" x 3", so my craft paper is smaller than that size

then take your scrap fabrics, put some mod podge on the wrong side of the fabric 

and paste it to the ruled card. do this until all cards are done

then continue with your details

paste it using mod podge, on top of the fabric

again, be creative. not all cards need to be horizontal 

when you're done, you can embellish your cards with beads or buttons or ribbons

i used buttons, to clear up my stocks

and you're done..!
